Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi there. I have been having frequent bowel movements (about 5+ a day). No diarrhea. The first bowel movement of the day could last 1 hour. I ve recently had a colonoscopy (I m nearly 50) and not so much as a polyp. Any suggestions? I have been diagnosed with temporal lobe epilepsy. I m on the following medications: 5 mg Cialis (mild prostate swelling), over the counter pro-biotic (Align), and Odefstry - anti HIV medicine. Thanks.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
I will suggest stool examination to rule out any gut infection . As you are HIV positive the cause may be any bacterial or protozoa infection .
