What Causes Frequent Burning Sensation And Pain In The Abdomen?
I am from Hyderabad, India. My father is 80 years old and complains stomach pain and burning sensation very often. He is not taking sufficient food because he always feels heavy in abdomen. Taking acidity medicines also not reducing the pain. Even acidity medicines like pentadoc 40 mg, Nurokind D3 tablets also troubles him with pain and burning sensation. Can you please suggest some treatment which can reduce his abdomen pain and burning sensation. Thank you very much for your help. Prabahakar

Hello,
The symptoms of your father seem to be related to gastritis due to high acidity. I suggest using Maalox three times a day for a week. I also suggest using PPI medication such as Omerprazole 20 mg daily in the morning before breakfast.
