What Causes Frequent Capillary Vessels Bursting On Hands And Fingers?

Hi. I have this problem with frequent capillaryvessels bursting on my hands and fingers. Has increased to 3 to 4 x per month last year 1x per month. Painful red swelling sometimes with black pimple like hardness under the skin. Goes away in 2 to 3 days. Occurs on both hands. Any idea?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The problem that you are facing seems to be due to fragile blood vessels, this could either be due to swelling in the blood vessels or any other systemic problem.

I would recommend a few blood tests, please get BT, CT, prothrombin time, liver function tests and Ana, meanwhile apply ice packs on the contusions.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Haleema Yezdani, General & Family Physician
