What Causes Frequent Chest Pains And Irregular Heart Beats During Cardio Training?

I am 23 now 85 kgs athletic build, average daily heart rate of 75 bpm and sleeping around 55-60bpm..

When i was 16 playing football one day suddenly i had a huge thump in my chest (no pain) heart rate slowed after a minute or two i was fine. i went to the hospital where i had a ecg and blood and other checks everything was fine..

After that i continued getting sudden thumps in my chest for years also panic attacks too..

The last couple of years during excessive training i get a sudden irregular beating of the heart jumping fluttering skipping.. No pain ever. only happens while im doing cardio training. I worry alot and get stressed alot get pains in my chest sometimes.. I have been to 3 of irelands top heart doctors in the past 3 to 4 years they have done an echos, stress test, ecg's, blood work , thyroid check, and holter monitors event monitors but were unable to catch the arithmia, lately during the day i get fluttering while bending over and while drifting off to sleep sudden singled thumps in my chest (while sleeping sometimes too)

After all of this the top heart specialist in ireland picked up on a routine ecg a non conductive p wave... Said this is totally normal and is down to HIGH VAGAL TONE AND PROBABLY A FAMILY GENETIC ISSUE as my mother has etopic heart beats..

Would love to hear you assesment as i am very worried...

Hello,

Are you taking any alcohol, caffeinated drinks or smoking history?

You may be suffering from paroxysmal arrhythmia, may be ectopics. But you have to get it done hypertrophic cardiomyopathy run in families in which people more for arrhythmia. Long QT syndromes and WPW syndrome may present like arrhythmia or ectopics.

Hence, get TMT, holter monitoring, 24 hour ECG monitor and cardiac stress test, thyroid profile, serum electrolytes and echo cardiography done, they may be useful.

Avoid caffeine and alcohol because they increase heart rate. Non conducting P waves may not be harmful but in heart blocks they may be seen. Please review with above reports and consult with your cardiologist, he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
