Over the past few days I have developed a clicking around my right knee it clicks every time I take a step and I can feel it most when I go up and downstairs. I ve now noticed that the part of my leg a little below the knee is a bit swollen and is sticking out more than the other leg. The muscle feels hard under the skin. Should I go and see a doctor?

I would like to try and answer your question please be assured that the problem is not threatening and easily manageable. provided your history, the diagnosis of a specific condition is difficult without required tests but in such cases the most common cause is Osteoarthritis and other causes can bebthoughtvof once its ruled out. I suggest you first take a self test called the Oxford Knee Score. then you can visit the doctor for further tests as the diagnosis does require tests I don t think this is absevere case though as the characteristic pain seems to be absent hope you feel well soon do rate the answer and leave your feedback regards dr j s kshatri
