Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have cramps periodically in my internal obliques. Sometimes it is brought on by nothing more than trying to hold in a laugh. Is there anything that causes that. I have had a number of blood test ran, I have had MRIs and I have had sonograms. My doctor has not been able to find anything. I am 69 years old male, about 25 lbs. over weight. All lab results show that I am with in range or just a few points over.
Muscle cramps are usually due to electrolyte levels derangement and dehydration. Keep yourself well hydrated. Increase your salt intake. Have multivitamin supplements. If the symptoms do not improve, please see your clinician.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ajeet Singh, General & Family Physician
