What Causes Frequent Diarrhea And Vomiting Inspite Of Taking Probiotic?

My five year old daughter has had sporadic diarreah and vomiting symptoms for over two weeks now. She has tested negative for bacteria infections and parasites. A norovirus test result is pending. She is staying hydrated and eating as best she can. She has been taking probiotic for three days now. Do you have any ideas or insights as to what could be the cause and/or what we can do to help her get better?

Hi Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...
As per your symptom, your daughter must be suffering from viral diarrhea or allergy to any food item. Viral diarrhea is self limiting. So you should not worry.
Continue with probiotics & give boiled water or milk to drink. Slowly your daughter would improve. If she tends to vomit or diarrhea after eating a food item. Try to avoid that in future.

refer to a pedatrician
Hope this information helps
