Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My husband get dizzy when he lies down. Took his BP and it is 143/73 and his blood sugar is 123 at this time. He has been experiencing dizziness for past week also when he is not laying down but is doing work around the house. He becomes frightened when this happens.
The Blood pressure you mentioned is on the upper side. Blood sugar is also on the higher side. I would advice you to monitor his Blood pressure for 7 days twice daily. Give him salt restricted diet (low salt diet), drink lots of water, avoid spicy and fried foods and tell him to do moderate exercise for 10 minutes in the morning.
Meanwhile conduct Random Blood sugar, Post Prandial Blood sugar (2 hours), Urine sugar, Lipid profile test. Examine his eyes also for any refractive errors.
