I started Chantix at the beginning of July. On the 4th day I got a red rash around the rectum and started burning around the lips. On the 6th day I had burning lips and throat and had to stop the Chantix. the burning lips and throat went away but the burning rash around the rectum got worse. My gyno had me use steroid cream twice a day for 3 months. The burning got worse. I went to a dermatologist and she has me using a steroid ointment twice a week for the last 6 months. It is better but it seems to get better and than I have am episode of burning skin for a week or more( no itching just burning). I have also been diagnosed with hyperexfoliation of the eyes and the beginnings of glaucoma which was not present in May when i last saw my opthamologist. I asked y regular doctor to begin testing for an autoimmune disorder but she doesn't believe it is necessary. Any advice on what could be wrong with me or where to go from here?
