What Causes Frequent Episodes Of Dumping Syndrome?

Over the last 2 years I ve been getting episodes of what seem like dumping syndrome during exercise or immediately following. The episodes seem to be happening more and more frequently and more and more severely. It is a scary thing because it makes me very nearly black-out and is very painful. I am usually in the trails when it happens so not always with people. What can I do about this?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I recommend doing some examinations to help to confirm the diagnosis of the dumping syndrome.

I recommend checking the blood sugar level, oral glucose tolerance and blood test.

I also suggest some measurements regarding the diet.

Eat five or six small meals or snacks a day.

Keep portions small, such as 1 ounce of meat or 1/4 cup of vegetables.

Cut food into very small pieces.

Chew well before swallowing.

Combine proteins or fats along with fruits or starches.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
