What Causes Frequent Headaches And Numbness In The Hands In A Child?

My 12 year old son has been having several headaches lately. He has also been diagnosed with one 1 eye farsighted and the other nearsighted. My family has an extensive history of seizures. Its always Males that have them and they always start at puberty. Some of the things he has said also was my hand is numb. This was the next day after a headache and after playing outside for some time. We have made an appointment with a child neurologist. Did I make the right decision or am I overreacting? Can they detect seizure activity even if he hasn t had a seizure yet?

HI
Well come to HCM
Your query is appreciated, if this is the history of seizure in family then you took the right decision but it is the very wise step you took and it is not the overacting, if this something related with the seizure then it can be predict at least it will clear the doubt hope this information helps.
