Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 6yr old son has been having frequent headaches. I took him to the eye doctor and they stated he has perfect vision. Also the headaches are in the nasal area I provided him zyrtec which his pediatrician recommended it didn t work. Now he is having frequent urination.
Hello! Headaches in children are common and in most of the cases no serious concern is behind them. Since you refer that your son has the headache in the nasal area, to my experience it is very likely to be a headache due to sinusitis. I would recommend an x-ray examination or a CT scan to see the status of the sinuses and confirm the diagnosis. Also I recommend that you bring your child to a ENT specialist (otorhinolaryngologist) for the appropriate evaluation and treatment (in case it will be needed). I hope to have answer your concern and to have given you some valid recommendations. Please do not hesitate to write if you have further questions. All the best, Dr.G.Topi
