My 26 year old son is experiencing a sharp random but frequent pain on the top of his head . He says it feels like it s in his skull. He works out quite a bit but seems to be always tired. He s concerned about the pain as it is like no other. His vision isn t blurred, aspirin doesn t really help....any thoughts? Thank you

Hi,
Welcome to Healthcaremagic.com

I had gone through your question I can understand your concern about your head ache.

As per your history it is suggestive of migraine, you need to consult a neurological for proper diagnosis.

Because your history is throbing headache, blurred vision and resistant to asprin, if there is associated photo phobia, nausea and aggravates with movement it is the migranous head ache.

You need to avoid any movement at the time of headache, remain still, and away from the noise, also take a tablet of pain killers like naproxin.

You can also take prophylaxis, if it is repeated often for three to four months to get rid of from migraine.

Hope my answer will help you and visit us back if you have any questions further to ask.

Regards
Dr Muzaffer Hussain Parray.
