Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My daughter has a problem of headache. Her details are:
Age-8 years
wearing specs for last 3 years
She gets headache which lasts for 2-3 minutes only. This happens 3-4 times a day. Her doctor(child specialist) says it is because of weakness, and has prescribed her with multi vitamin tonic. But it has not effected much. This situationnis persisting for last 1 year. I have shown her to three different doctors, all have same opinion - weakness.
Hello and welcome to HCM, I suspect that frequent headaches are due to refractive error of the eyes. Since, your daughter is wearing spectacles from last 3 years, there could be change in the refractive power of eyes. Change in refractive error of eyes is common and rapid in children less than 18 years. Change in refractive error can cause headache and watering from eyes.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja P Wahal
