What Causes Frequent Infections And Low WBC Count?
For the past year or so, I have had I d say 6 or 7 fevers for one night only. Next morning I m fine besides being a little weak. Before it starts rising I can feel it coming on, like I m coming down with the flu and get chills. Latest fever was 102. Before that they were less than 101. I have had chronic fatigue, anxiety, and depression for decades. Fatigue has gotten worse the past year or 2. My vision has gotten worse and is very blurry. I have had constipation forever and am laxative dependent. I have had some restless leg and recently started having toe and foot cramps pretty often. I eat a lot of sugar and find it very hard to quit....always have. Some joint pain but cymbalta has helped with that. After the last fever I went to the doctor. My white blood cell count was 15 and neutrophils (absolute) was 12.2. Everything else was normal. He sent me for a chest xray and it was normal. He took a urine specimen and it was normal. He also did a tb test. I don t have insurance and he hasn t said where we d go from here. I have another appointment in a month. Please help!

What Causes Frequent Infections And Low WBC Count?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice. Get done your HIV, HBsAg testing done along with that blood sugar level test. Repeat the total blood count. Follow up with the reports. Don t worry these test are just to know why does your WBC count is low. Low WBC count also seen in viral infections but not recurrent. Hope this will help you. Thank you!
