What Causes Frequent Infections And Traces Of Blood In Urine?
I just had a CT scan and cystoscopy (a week ago) due to frequent infections and notice of trace of blood in my urine tests. I have never actually seen blood until today and it is quite prominent. The CT scan and scope of my bladder was normal. What could cause this? And, can I call my doctor first thing on Monday morning?
As per my clinical experience, there can be number of reasons for the frequent infections and traces of blood in the urine as: - Inadequately treated previous infection as E. coli or others - Recurrent infection through sexually transmitted infections - Resistant micro organisms - Low immunity - Lack of hydration - Excess fluid loss in perspiration, urination or others - Concentrated urine in phase of excess heat exposure or over exertion - Diabetes - Lack of genital hygiene - Stone or gravels in the urinary system Kindly get back to me with all reports as scanned copy to correlate more precisely on clinical grounds.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
