Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi!!My age is 25 yrs.Height 5"3' and weight is 50 kgs.I am getting fever frequently.I noticed it happens mostly in the case of exertion.I had Typhoid in 2007 and then again in 2011 March. In April, there was no problem and then fever started again in May end. What could be the cause for it.Please suggest.
Frequent Typhoid fever could be due to frequent exposure to the salmonella typhi like cook, family persons who are carriers, incomplete treatment, food and water contaminated with salmonella typhi.
So, you need to avoid the contaminated food and water, complete your treatment that is usually for 15 days if not done and to investigate if any of the persons nearby you are carriers or not.
Hope I answered your query. In case of any further questions, will be happy to help you.
Thank you
