What Causes Frequent Nausea While Suffering From Complex Kidney Cyst?

For 5 months I have had RUQ pain intermittently, with nausea starting 2 months ago. Nausea may last anywhere from 30 seconds to all day, can happen in middle of night, before or after eating. I have had ct scan showing only a complex kidney cyst (Bosniak 2F); have had ultrasound and HIDA scan - everything is normal but the nausea is the thing that bothers me most. Any suggestions? My sister has pancreatic cancer - this is only relevant family history. Thank you

Hello and welcome to HCM,
A renal cyst may be associated with lower back pain, blood in urine, proteins in urine, hypertension, urinary infection etc.
Urinary tract infection (UTI) may cause nausea and vomiting.
Other than this possibility, the nausea is unlikely to be associated with renal cyst.
Besides this nausea can be due to gastric infection, gall bladder disorder, motion sickness, morning sickness in pregnancy, food poisoning, overeating, etc.
You may consult your primary healthcare provider for clinical assessment and to find out the cause of these nausea.

Thanks and take care
