Hello and thank you for asking HCM.
I have read all the symptoms that your fiance has,and i understand your concern. Feeling pain in your epigaster, where your stomach is (upper part of abdomen,or in your right quadrant, under the ribs) doesn't always mean that there is an infection in your
gallbladder. If 1 of the stones that your fiances has, blocks the duct of the gallbladder, he will feel pain a lot,
nausea. No one can be sure if there is an infection or not at that moment. To do so he need to do some tests.
I will write below things that your fiance needs to avoid to not have pain from the gallbladder:
-He needs to avoid eating fat (all the food that have a lot of fat, needs to be removed from his diet,at least till he has surgery)
-pizzas, hot-dogs, every kind of fast food need to be removed from his diet.
-he need to eat fresh vegetables, fruits, hypocaloric foods.
I understand that it might be difficult for him,but he has to do it,if he wants to avoid having other symptoms from the gallstones.
REMEMBER: If the pain keeps getting stronger and stronger with the passing of the hours,or if your fiance starts
vomiting,or has a
fever,i suggest he goes to the ER because those are the signs of an infection.
Feel free to contact me any time.
Wishing good health for you and your fiance
