What Causes Frequent Pain In Ear?

Hello, I have been experiencing sharp pains in my ear, not really sure how to explain where it is, in just up from my ear lobe, on the outside where it starts to get harder.... The twinges hurt and only last a second or two but they are quite frequent

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Dear friend,I have gone through your problem carefully.it seems that you havea sharp ,intermittent pain in outer ear.this can be due to local infection in that area.sometimes locally infected tissue gets swelled and causes pain.if there is no local infection then this can be due to some refer pain, that is the pain is due to infection in some other place like tooth or gum.you please see your GP to get clinically exmined for proper treatment.thank you.
