What Causes Frequent Sensation Of Passing Diarrhea?

I have been feeling like I need to go to the bathroom very often for about 3 days but when I try to go very little comes out and it still feels like I am going to have diarrhea but I never do. I ve had some watery movements but not like diarrhea. Now, tonight I passed a large glob of mucous. No blood in it but it was a lot. Whats wrong with me?

Metronidazole should help you.
Drink lot of water.
Avoid milk for time being.
Take curd.
