Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had stomach bloating for months. In recent months this has become more of a concern; the frequency has increased even as I had taken more measures to ensure it's not a food intolerance or parasite. I have no habits that would normally cause stomach or intestinal issues; I avoid junk food, sodas, fatty meats and alcohol. I have no history of health problems. 5 months ago I went off gluten in an effort to further reduce the possibility that this is food related. The bloat immediately worsened and I gained 10lbs without a in increase in intake. This new situation has prompted me to get blood tests and book a physical. Is there anything (or test) that I should ask about when I see my doctor?
