What Causes Frequent Symptoms Of Acid Reflux Despite Taking Medication?
i had mild gastritis, i was given moza 5 and pantocid with ulgel. I have taken that for 3 months, my symptoms cleared little. Again I had reflux redness in throat. Again i checked with doctor, they have given me Rabonik plus and antibiotic Mahacef with tricaine syrup. It felt calm for somedays. After that i stopped taking tablets, it again shows reflux symptoms. Please advise me on reflux..
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have frequent symptoms of acid reflux despite taking medication it could be due to gastritis and due to gastroesophageal reflux disease. Need not to worry. Acid reflux occurs due to loosening of sphincters and passage of more acid in stomach. Take Pantoprazole 40 mg empty stomach once daily. Start taking proton pump inhibitors. You should avoid oily and spicy food. Keep at least 2 hours gap between your food and sleeping time. I would advise that you get an upper Gastrointestinal tract endoscopy done to look for the severity of gastritis. You need to reduce the quantity of food taken per meal. While sleeping put two pillows under your head. This all will prevent reflux.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
