What Causes Frequent Urge To Urinate And Pain During Urination Post Hysterectomy?
I just had a hysterectomy last Monday everything but one ovary removed...I m home if been trying to recooperate ...but Im still having some pain when I go to the restroom ...I feel like I constantly have to pee and when I do pee I have to give myself a push...it dosnt feel like I m peeing out of the right? Is this normal? Also have pain trying to pass bowel movements? My vaginal area is irritated ..and dry ...just want to know what ishould do?
Post hysterectomy, painful urination and difficulty in passing stools is very common. The following symptoms are seen in urinary tract infections (UTI): 1) Painful urination 2) Often urge to urinate 3) Bladder spasms
UTI is common after hysterectomy due to the insertion of urinary catheter during the procedure and later on. This can be treated by: 1) Tab. Norflox for 3 days. 2) Maintaining hygiene 3) Maintain hydration.
Difficulty and pain during passing stools will be there as while passing stools intraabdominal pressure increases and that causes pressure on sutures inside. But this will go away in 1-2 weeks. Vaginal dryness can be treated with Evalon cream applied in vagina twice daily. Vaginal dryness will be subsided as time passes. Once the sutures gain tensile strength, the wound will heal inside and outside.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
