What Causes Frequent Urge To Urinate In An Elderly Person?

I just got back home (CA) after a long flight about 5 days ago. Since I got here I feel very lose in my urine and I have to run to the restroom frequently. This is not my first flight out of the country, but, first time I feel this way. I am over 60 years old, male. Please advise

As per your concern i would like to tell you that urgency in urine can be caused by many medical conditions as it is a symptom and not a disease itself

But Finally you are Having Urine urgency ...and if you are having other symptom like burning while urination , frequent urination and incontinence than most probably you might have Urinary Tract Infection
In elderly male this problem can also caused by Prostate gland enlargement ( Benign prostatic hyperplasia )

So to be serious i would suggest you to have an urinalysis ( complete examination of urin ) to rule out any infection
And
A blood Test for Prostate which will tell you whether your prostate is enlarged or not

This urgency problem can also be caused by some other medical conditions like over active bladder , stone , obstruction in the way of urin ,
But seriously it needs medical examinations as well as investigations to rule out the underlying conditions

I would suggest you to visit your urologist
