What Causes Frequent Urination After An Abortion?

I m going on a month after having an abortion and I m realizing I m having to urinate very frequently. I ll urniate normally there is no pain, discomfort or smell but after my first time of using the restroom I find myself urinating every 5 mins after and it s just drops of pee that is coming out? What s wrong

Hello there, thanks for the query. From your query I assume that you haven't undergone any surgical procedure for abortion. Keeping that in mind, you possibly have a urinary tract infection even though you haven't mentioned other symptoms accompanying it like burning sensation when passing urine, associated blood in urine, pain during urination. You must first get a urine sample tested for any infection and if any organism is detected, it ll be further tested by doing a urine culture for the particular organism.
If any infection is detected, you will be required to take antibiotics for 7 days depending on your culture reports.
Meanwhile, drink plenty of water as to keep your urine clear.
If you have no infection and your symptoms persist, you may have to see your physician for further evaluation for bladder function.
