What Causes Frequent Urination Along With Abdominal And Back Pain?
I have been having frequent urination since past 4mnths it started with symptoms like UTI but the GP and the hospital have checked my Urine sample and have not found any traces of infection.Iam really worried and I have extreme pain on my left side rib and abdomen and also back pain.the rib pain is so bad that it makes me scream I keep taking paracetamol s and diclofenac to control the pain.I have had x-rays and CT scan to rule out if I had kidney stones but all the test have come out clear.pls help need urgent care.Thank you
The symptoms of abdomen and back pain with frequent urination indicate most possible calculus or gravels in kidney or ureter most likely. Though the CT scan is not indicative of stone, I can suspect radiolucent stone as uric acid which may require intravenous pyelography to show up as filling defect or narrowing of ureter (but that may show up as hydronephrosis of the same side kidney). A urine culture report is a must to be normal from mid stream early morning void sample.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
