What Causes Frequent Urination And Bad Odoured Urine In A Liver Patient?
i have liver disease and recently hospitalized for five days with iv therapy of Zofran and Phenergan for naseau, iv fluids to balance electrolytes to include potassium chloride. After one week at home I am having a strong odor from urine and almost have the symptoms of a UTI - just the constant need to urinate very frequently - no other symtoms. Only med I am taking is Zofran tabs time release
Strong urine odor can be due to urinary tract infection (UTI). I suggest you to get urine routine examination and urine culture to look for urinary infection and appropriate antibiotics to treat infection.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shailja Puri, Pathologist and Microbiologist
