What Causes Frequent Urination And Blood In Urine?
For about two weeks my husband has had frequent urination, difficulty urinating and also had blood in the urine tonight. He is 73. He had a prostate examine about a yr. ago. Would this indicate an enlarged prostate and left untreated led to cancer? What causes the blood in the urine? Thank You
Hi there. Although Prostate cancer is a possibility, lets rule out the simple things first like a Urinary tract infection. Infections, Stones and Cancer are the most causes. sometimes a Urinary Bladder stone can case it too. Get a Urine Routine examination for starters. If problem continues you need to get him to see a Surgeon or a Urologist who can tell an enlarged Prostate by a simple bedside 'Per- Rectal' examination and maybe a pelvic scan following that. Hope this was helpful. Thank you
