What Causes Frequent Urination And Greenish Brown Stool In A Kid?
My 5 month old's daycare is concerned about her frequent urination. They check her hourly and she always has a wet diaper. I have also noticed her stool has been a greenish brown lately. She is exclusively breastfeed, so it is normally a mustard color. She does not have a fever, but has had a head cold for about 2 weeks.
hi, An infection with a virus, bacteria, or parasite can be the likely cause. Can be urinary tract infection associated with gastroenteritis.Gastroenteritis makes the body lose too much water and minerals called electrolytes. That leads to dehydration.Small babies can get dehydrated very quickly.Take him to a pediatrician.Doctor will check dehydration if required fluids through an IV in their veins.Antibiotics could also be given depeding on the nature of infection. However mostly its viral. You should take the baby to emergency to be on saferside.
