Thanks for the question. Frequent urination can be caused by urinary tract infection (UTI), overactive bladder, anxiety, hyperplasia of prostate, metabolic disease such as diabetes mellitus.

UTI is infection in urinary tract by bacterial. The symptoms of UTI are pain while urinating, frequent urination, pain in lower abdomen and etc. UTI is treated by antibiotic and need take examination such as urinalysis to diagnose it.

Overactive bladder is caused by hypersensitivity of smooth muscle of bladder.

Anxiety cause elevation of diuretic hormone that makes us frequent urination.

Hyperplasia of prostate cause hypersensitivity of smooth muscle of bladder.
