Hi,
Roxicet is a combination of an opioid, oxycodone and acetaminophen. Regarding to the symptoms you are experiencing, increased ureteral and bladder sphincter tone may be related.
Let me explain you what are the effects of opioids on micturition. Opioids increases the tone of urinary bladder muscles as well as of ureter tone. This would sometimes result in difficulty in micturition and urinary urgency because of increased tone.
I suppose if you are having difficulty along with increased frequency, then it is mostly a side effect of the drug. If not, then you need to undergo investigations for urinary tract infections and diabetes as they are most common causes of increased frequency of urination.
You can discuss the above information with your physician. I hope the above information helps you. Thanks for writing into healhtcaremagic. Have a nice day.
