What Causes Frequent Urination While Having Enlarged Vein In The Testicle?
Hi, over the last 23 days I have been urinating a lot more than usual and drinking with out quenching thirst. My diet has not changed. I live in Canberra Australia so it is winter. I had similar symptoms last year, only difference was an enlarged vein in my testicle. I was diagnosed with kidney cancer resulting in the removal of my kidney and the cancerous growth. I had a 6 month scan in May 2016 which was clear. My next scan is in December 16. Your insight would be appreciated.
You need to get baseline fasting blood sugars and HbA1C monitoring as diabetes should be ruled out with your symptoms. Also a urinalysis needs to be done to rule out any local urinary cause of increased urination. Renal profile and serum and urinary electrolytes should also be done to rule out any endocrine cause of increased thirst, like diabetes insipidus etc. Meanwhile, repeat scan should be proceeded as planned for recurrence of renal cell carcinoma suspicion.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Wishing you a speedy recovery.
Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
