What Causes Frequent Urination While Suffering From Hernia?
Thank doctor, I ve had what I believe to be a groin hernia for the past year or so...no real pain or problems as yet but it has gotten a bit larger...it s located on the left side. Latiely Ive been urinating more often and I m wondering if this hernia may be part of the problem. I m a 66 year old male.
hi sir, frequent urination in a male of 66yrs, makes me think of prostate pathology.in about 60% of males >60yrs have prostate gland enlargement.some are asymptomatic while others present with urgency, increased frequency, incomplete emptying sensation, sometimes pain and burning also.so we must rule out prostate causes.coming to groin hernia, urinary bladder can herniate into inguinal canal in 1-4% of cases especially in elderly men with prostate enlargement.an old male came to me with similar picture.kindly have your consultation with a surgeon who will examine you thoroughly to arrive at diagnosis and initiate necessary treatment.hope my clarification is satisfactory.any further queries are welcome.i'm happy to help you.thank you.take care.bye.
