What Causes Frequent Urination While Treating Adrenal Fatigue Syndrome?
I am a 55 yr old female, currently treating adrenal fatigue syndrome. I have to get up every hour to urinate, some nights even more often. I was taking a supplement that was helping me sleep and only waking every2 or 3 hours, which was wonderful! Can you suggest anything you may feel will help me overnight?
Thanks for asking. You didn't mention if you have diabetes or Hypertension? if you don't know then check FBS/PPBS. 1. Be sure that you are not taking any DIURETIC DRUGS which may cause frequent urination. 2. Monitor your 24 hour urine output to rule out polyuria (>3liter/day) and measure your daily water intake (~2 lt/day will be sufficient). 3. Avoid drinking tea, coffee, or alcohol. 3. Get an urine RE/ME done to rule out Urine infection. 4. Go for urodynamic study if still no cause found to check for external urethral sphincterincontinence caused by pelvic floor muscles laxity which is very common in your age group.
if all are fine, you may start taking Tab. Darilong (7.5) once daily at bedtime and you will have an uninterrupted sleep overnight.
Hope i have answered your qs properly. Get back to me for further consultation.
