What Causes Weight Loss?
I have lost 20% of my body weight since August-down to 88 lbs from 108. Sudden severe stomach pains caused initial 16 lb weight loss. endoscopic ultrasound didn t find anything. Currently being treated for adrenal fatigue syndrome (hydrocortisone) but still having trouble with muscle wasting, fat loss and inability to gain any weight. I m afraid I ll just waste away...what else could cause this and what should I be tested for? Thanks.

Adrenal insufficiency causes weight loss..steroid therapy on long term basis will treat the cause..frequent monitoring of adrenal hormone levels is required.Get a
CT ABDOMEN to rule out any organic adrenal pathologies.consult your doctor for further queries.
