Hello,
Welcome to health care magic. Thanks for posting your question at this forum.
We understand your concern.
I am Dr Alok Sinha, MD Psychiatry from India.
I will try to help you.
Firstly let me tell you that some more information is required from you in the form of following:-
- Your age and gender
- quantity of urine passed each time,
- amount of water/fluid you are taking daily,
- any burning sensation while passing urine.
However, with limited information I may guide you a little.
Frequent micturation has mainly two reasons:-
1. Increase in urine production either because of excessive water and fluid intake or use of caffeine and alcohol.
2. Limited capacity and irritation of bladder causing urge to pass urine frequently.
Based on any of the above situation, I do recommend my patients to follow these instructions:-
1. Do not over hydrate yourself.
2. Avoid excess of coffee/tea.
3. Avoid alcohol
4. Pass urine before going to bed.
5. Get your blood sugar and specific gravity of urine checked, as excessive urine formation may be due to diabetes/
hormonal imbalance
6. Get urine culture done if you have burning sensation while passing urine and if there is urgency to pass frequent small quantity of urine.
I will advice you to kindly consult a good physician who may easily find out the cause of your problem based on your history and above information. Do not unnecessarily self medicate yourself with antibiotics and/or other medicines as this may have adverse effect.
Hope this answers your question.
I wish you all the best.
