General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Recurrent UTI can occur due to sexual relations with infected person/Some times the bacteria can recede in fecal matter and after few days lodge in the urinary tract. Bacteria can develop resistance to antibiotic in case of inadequate treatment which ultimately turns to recurrent infections. All these conditions need proper understanding, investigations and sufficiently long course of suitable antibiotic under a urologist's care.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
