What Causes Fullness In Kidneys Of A Child?
My 4 year old has a fullness in both kidneys, but he has not had any infections. They have ruled out his bladder backing up into his kidneys. What else could it be? He is not acting like his self, cries all the time and won t sleep through the night. They have him on a medicine for an overactive bladder, because he goes pee every 40 minutes and still pees his pants sometimes.

I have gone through your baby complaints.fullness of both kidneys can be due to either posterior urethral valves or vesicoureteric reflex.to differentiate this intravenous pyelogram and micturiting cystourethrogram are done.the way your describing is more in favour of vesicoureteric reflex.it is due to smooth muscke defect.consult urologist and evaluate for causr and treat based on.its important to take care of kidneys early ,before infections start.
