What Causes Fungal Infection Every Time After Having Sex?

Hi Doctor, I am 29 year old. I get intimate with my partner once in a month, given he stays outside my city. On last two occassions, I got a fungal infection immediately after that. Last time, it was itchiness , with pain and smelly white discharge( in dec). In January we met, but the intimacy was smooth. Again this february, i got a fungal infection a week after that. this time its itchiness with small white discharge. we use condoms. what is happening?

Thank you for posting your query in HCM.
See primarily, you are having recurrent infections. It is mostly fungal, but other bacteria can be associated.
Do the following-
Maintain genital cleanliness.
Take fluconazole tablet once weekly for 4 weeks.
Get a culture of your discharge done.
Avoid sex until treatment is completed.
After the reports come, the proper cause will be evaluated and treated accordingly.
You can consult a dermatologist.
