Hi
I had gone through your question and understand your concern. See , gall stone occurs when bile contains too much
cholesterol , or bile contains too much bilirubin , or
gallbladder doesn't empty correctly.
Now coming to the causes of bladder stones , it is caused by Prostate gland enlargement , or Damaged nerves (
neurogenic bladder) , or Inflammation, or Medical devices , or Kidney stones.
Bladder stones are mostly responsible for blood in urine.
And lastly ,
Obstructive jaundice , which occurs when the essential flow of bile to the intestine is blocked and remains in the bloodstream. This might be due to blocked bile ducts caused by gallstones, or tumours of the bile duct which can block the area where the bile duct meets the duodenum.
Hence ,
gall stones are causing obstructive jaundice and bladder stones causing blood in urine in your brother in law's case.
Hope this information is helpful.
Thankyou.
