What Causes Gastric Pain After Suffering From Diverticulitis?
I have had diverticulitis. It was treated with the mega antibiotics. Looks like I am having some issues with the antibiotics killing the bad with the good bacteria. Lots of gas pains, not the same pains as the diverticulitis. Looks like the treatment is lots of fluids. How long before I should call a doctor. Going on two days on and off and lots of gas pains.
Welcome to HCM I have read and understood your query Hope it may help The gas pain you are experiencing is due to diverticulitis and associated constipation.Though you may be right if antibiotic also doesnot make you feel good. As you are already taking plenty of fluids,it is good and maintain it.Along it take more of the fibers in your diet.Eat more fruits and vegetables.Avoid all gas producing foods like grams broccolli peas beans and legumes.do a regular exercise.Take One glass of luke warm milk twice a day with one spoon of ispaghol husk in it.See if you can find Trimebutine in pharmacy.It also help to reduce gas production if taken once daily before breakfast.If not available try Esomeprazole 20 mg once daily before breakfast.It also helps colon.
