Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi. When I make suction in my mouth my gums on the top left bleed. Not always but I just did it and I spit out blood. I just looked up gingivitis and well I take relatively good care of my teeth and try to avoid a lot of sugars. I don't smoke cigarettes and do "dip" tobacco. What could it be?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain bleeding from.gums when making suction in mouth is probably due to gum infection leading to inflammation and inflamed tissue tend to bleed on even slight stimulation.. Once you have bleeding from gums that indicate deeper infection, therefore you need to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like full mouth x Ray has to be done to check for severity of infection that it has spread to underlying bone also or not.. Deep Scaling/cleaning of teeth followed by a script of antibiotics like Metronidazole and Anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen along with antiseptic mouthwash gargles can help.. Massage the guns with antibiotic ointment...
Hope this information helps.
Regards.
