What Causes Globus Sensation And Pain In The Throat With Hoarse Voice?
My throat hurts when talking but my voice isn t hoarse. I can t talk loudly or in high pitches. A couple months ago I screamed, lost my voice like normal, but then screamed once more while my voice was lost. It hurt so I stopped but I haven t been able to talk fully since. Doctor said I had laryngitis and gave me some antibiotics and said to not talk for 10 days which I did. That was about a month ago though and I still haven t been able to talk like normal. My throats feels kind of tight like a lump in the throat, and it also is dry.
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, the given history here could be suggestive of allergic condition, infection, or the most common is lesion of vocal cord the old term being used for that is singer's nodule, voice rest is the best option but you already tried it but it is nothing to loose if you can try it once again. If you have not done the laryngoscopy then it is advisable, if found nodule there then surgery is the option. Last, the condition could be due to hyperacidity. Certain treatment and medication can be tried on tentative basis Treatment: Voice rest, avoid cold drink, spicy food, smoking, Medication: levocetirizine 10 mg once in day, Povidone iodine gargle, Tab Omeprazole 40 mg once in day.
