What Causes Gradual Loss Of Voice In Infant?

Hi, my 11month old has over the course of a week gone from a little raspy to conpletly loosing his voice. He had a slight fever the first day, and not as many wet diapers. But his voice/sounds are gegetting worse. I m wondering if he needs to see a ENT or if its just allergies or something simple. Thanks!

Hello , Welcome to Healthcare

thanks for writing to us,

Hoarse voice in baboes can be caused even simply by lot of crying. however,
if your son having cough, along with the fever, this is Laryngitis caused by streptococcal infection of the voice box,
I suggest you visit your ENT doctor who can further evaluate the cause and treat your son.

Wishing your baby complete recovery!
