What Causes Green Colored Bowel Movement?
Hello.I have had very dark dark green stool for last 5 days.I was having a gout flare up at the time as well and drinking alot of tart cherry juice.All i was basically eating was fried egg whites,cheese,lots of avacados,one day I had a fruit smoothie from my nutri bullet rx.it contained pinapple,strawberry,blueberry,flaxseed,chia seeds and 100% pineapple juice. For the gout I also took ibuprofen 800 a few times over 5 days and drank alkaline water.can the tart cherry juice or avocados cause the dark greenish stool?it looked like a greenish black but when I wiped it was dark green.its not normal for me,but tonight I had diarreah and it started to go a bit dark greenish brown now but still darker .Im just looking for an opinion on this.thank you!

Stool color varies. We get this question a lot. Some minerals (iron) and certainly plant pigments can change the color of stool. It is not a sign of disease.
