my grandson is just under three months old and had urinary infection about three weeks ago was put on antibiotics for 12 to 15 days and that course has just been completed about a day ago. Today, again starting in the afternoon he is again having green stool, vomiting, doesn t eat and has slight fever like 99, we are kind of concern, can you please give us an idea on what could be happening?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The normal brown color of stool occurs because of the change in bile as it passes through the intestines.

When the passage of stool occurs more frequently as in diarrhea or loose stools then the bile does not have the time to change.

The vomiting and green stool may reflect a viral or bacterial of the gastrointestinal tract.
At his age, making sure he does not become dehydrated is very important.

It may be better for him to be assessed by his doctor.

I hope this helps
