What Causes Green Stool Watery Stool In Child?

Hi , My daughter ingested a penny and passed it in her bowls Saturday late afternoon . I took her to the er for an x-ray which came back ok and also showed signs of note more foreign objects . She has been having green stool since then . No fever and still eating ok . Have her on the brat diet . Why is her stool still green and liquidy . Is this an infection from the penny ?

Hello,
Thanks for writing.
I understand ur concern.
In this case green stools appears normal which is quite common. It can b due to minimal trauma caused by penny while traveling through intestine.
Keep her giving ORS solution and if she is vomiting than plz give her some anti emetics.
Keeping the hydration of body is of key importance.
If not resolved than give her a course of antibiotic.
