Hi,I am Dr. Santosh Kondekar (Pediatrician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my baby has a grey gum where his front tooth has just come in in the last few days. There seems to also be a speck of grey on the actual tooth. There has beeno trauma that i know of to the tooth. Could there be something stuck between the gum or tooth? is it scabbing from teething or trauma? Perhaps in his crib during the night?
This grey substance between the gum and the tooth can be calculus common due to poor oral hygiene.
I suggest you to take your child to the dentist for a professional cleaning. Maintain proper oral hygiene, gargle after every meal.Use a floss daily. Do warm salt water gargle twice daily. Hope this helps.
