What Causes Growing, Painful Lump On The Incision Area Post Tubal Surgery?

I had tubal surgery almost 3 months ago. the incision was made through my belly button. last week i noticed a bump rising from under the incision. it goes away when i lay down, but is noticeable when i stand. It has gotten bigger and is making my stomach hurt and causing me severe nausea, along with loss of appetite.

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello Dr Faisal here,
I have read and understood your query, I will suggest you to go for an ultrasound to confirm this incisional hernia and to further consult a general surgeon for repair of this defect in abdominal wall (hernia). mean while do reduce it in lying position and tie a wide abdominal belt while in lying position to avoid your abdominal contents getting stuck into this defect.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take Care
Regards.
